GULOW STREET

THE PURPOSE

The Gulow Street project holds a special place in my heart. When my friend had to close his restaurant due to the impacts of COVID-19, it was a deeply personal experience for both of us. He shared his plans to open a new restaurant, one that would honor his family’s legacy. The logo we created draws inspiration from his grandfather's old family shop, blending elements from the original logo with meaningful family symbols—much like a tattoo—to craft a design that reflects both the restaurant’s identity and its rich history. In addition to the logo, I also had the opportunity to contribute to the brand’s visual identity by designing menus and t-shirts, further bringing the brand to life. This project was more than just a design job; it was a chance to help a friend build something that truly honors his family's story.
